ACTIVITIES AND LEARNING

We encourage our members to develop their skills and talents, with group learning and activities. We also offer training and formal certification courses in partnership with organisations such as Twics and Southampton City Council.

Courses and activities range in subjects like English language classes, arts and crafts, healthy living and community development.
Some ongoing courses are

Gardening Club

This is a weekly group activity held at the Al-Nissa Community Centre (Medina Mosque, Southampton). The group meets on Tuesdays from 10 - 11 am. Anyone interested is welcome to join.

English Classes

This programme is designed for immigrants who would like to improve their English language skills. It is held at the Al-Nissa Community Centre (Medina Mosque, Southampton) and at the end of the course the learners will receive a certificate. Please contact us if you would like to enroll for the next term

Community Work Skills

These are training sessions by TWICS. At the end of the course the attendees will receive a nationally recognised certificate.
The course includes - what community development work is, finding resources and encouraging participation in community activities.
