Objectives

OBJECTIVES

Southampton Al-Nissa association is an organization by the Muslim women of Southampton for the Muslim women in the Southampton.

To serve the Muslim women in the Southampton area on issues of concern and interest in ways which improves their quality of life
To encourage participation of the women in all areas where they face discrimination
To represent their interests as far as possible, in both the private and public sector
To further develop good community relations already existing, recognising the diverse cultural richness of the area.
To work in partnership with other organisations in the city
To enable members to develop their talents and share their skills
To identify special needs for training and self development
To seek assistance, support and advice as necessary from service providers and other organisations and individuals
To organise meetings and invite speakers on topics of interest
To raise awareness of the association amongst other groups and organisations so that new and existing initiatives can be identified
The funds of the Association shall be used solely for the promotion of the objectives. No funds shall be transferred by way of profit to any member of the association.

The Association will work towards better understanding of their needs (age, disability, language, culture) and will make every endeavour to ensure access and participation in all the associations activities.
